Ok no more of these guns being brought into MD you can not continue to sell them if you have them to another md resident they can only go out of state.
Now the fun stuff do you have a pistol that you can take the barrel out of. Like a 1911 glock or a ruger. This kills the sale of them in MD. “A THREADED BARREL, CAPABLE OF ACCEPTING A FLASH SUPPRESSOR, FORWARD HANDGRIP, OR SILENCER;”
if you can take your barrel out and put a threaded one in it is capable of excepting a suppressor.
Now for the fun stuff if you shot gun has any of these it will be governed by this bill you cant buy the fun one with any of these things
10 (VI) A SEMIAUTOMATIC SHOTGUN THAT HAS BOTH OF THE
11 FOLLOWING:
12 1. A FOLDING OR TELESCOPING STOCK; AND
13 2. A PISTOL GRIP THAT PROTRUDES
14 CONSPICUOUSLY BENEATH THE ACTION OF THE WEAPON, THUMBHOLE STOCK,
15 OR VERTICAL HANDGRIP; OR
16 (VII) ANY SHOTGUN WITH A REVOLVING CYLINDER.
If I keep going, the post will be way to long if you notice it is more than just adding a sentence on to a crime. By the way, it is worded the dealers that think if they have it they can still sell it wrong. If you notice it says 19 (3) A PERSON WHO LAWFULLY POSSESSED AN ASSAULT LONG
GUN OR A COPYCAT WEAPON BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2007, AND WHO
THE ASSAULT LONG GUN OR COPYCAT WEAPON WITH THE SECRETARY OF
STATE POLICE BEFORE DECEMBER 1, 2007, MAY CONTINUE TO POSSESS THE
ASSAULT LONG GUN OR COPYCAT WEAPON.
We REGISTERS the weapons with the state police when they are bought if you cant do that after December how dose the deal transfer it to you? it has been discussed with some dealers and they believe this to be correct.
It looks like you will also have to re REGISTERS you guns again and pay more money. This was what happened in cali but they did not tell anyone or have the correct resources ready. Long story short they end up confiscating a lot of guns and making law-abiding citizens into criminals.
Please take action and write or call you representatives.
