Currently have A1 furniture repainted with Brownell's Alumahyde II.
On the one hand, I couldn't be more pleased; the furniture on the gun has now endured most of a year of shooting, cleaning, oiling and handling, and the Alumahyde has held up well. Conversely, it will get scratched up from enough use, and the fiberglass furniture has a rep of being a little fragile.
Sooooooo...
Today, I wet sanded and painted a backup set of furniture; I'll let them hang back in the furnace room for a month, and then squirrel them away until needed. The Alumahyde wants lots of cure time (a week, minimum and more=better). I got three buttstocks, a pistol grip and two sets of handguards out of one spray can.
