I purchase an AR-15 make by an out fit in kentucky. The gun smith said the weapon was set up to shoot the 62 grain bullet ( twist of rifeling in barrel). I am having a hard time to find the correct bullet weight. So, any suggestions about where to get 62 grain bullets? Does anyone have loads for the .333 with the 62 grain bullet? I will probability use civilian brass.

I'm sorry, I don't know what the .333 is.

62 grain bullets are the standard military load
M855: 62gr FMJBT Ball, green-painted tip

M995: 62gr FMJBT AP, black-painted tip. This FN-designed bullet uses a hardened tungsten-carbide penetrator, and is only available on special-issue SAW belts.

M996: Actually, XM996, as it hasn't been adopted yet. The tracer compliment to M995.

Barnes, Berger and Speer all make FMJ bullets in 62 grain

Keep in mind that if your gun has the correct twist to shoot 62 grain bullets that also means you can shoot any lighter bullets as well. You probably have a 1:7, 1:8 or 1:9 twist and can shoot even 75 grain bullets relatively accurate out to 100 yards.
55 grain FMJ is probably the least expensive ammo that you can buy for your rifle and available at almost any gun or ammo store including your local mega-mart.

Loaded ammo should be available in 40-75 grains.
