Alright, for the good of the forum, tell us about your first AR. :) Mine was an LMT pistol build 10.5 with a RRA lower, MIAD grip, YHM phantom, and GG&G rear BUIS. Everything was fine with it but it was loud as hell! I said to myself, "This is cool, but it would be better as a rifle." I sold the upper and picked up another from RRA to match. Got me a stock and never looked back! They're fuckin' awesome!

Mine had triangle handguards, a three prong flash hider and I had to adjust the rear sights with a bullet. Oh and it had full auto. Uncle Sam gave it to me!;) :D

Well they did own it. Besides they ended up giving me another one later on down the road when I went to the civil side of the house. Uncle Sam and I have a long history of swaping guns back and forth. Over the years I have been issued M-60's, M-16's, M-4's, M-79's, M-203's, Colt 1911, Remington 700's, several different brands of shotguns, A slew of Smith and Wesson revolvers in both 357 and 38. Several Smith auto's, A Beretta, a Glock and lot's of ammo! The only duty gun they ever let me keep was my Sig P220 and I bought that. :(

Well you can't fault them for replacing what they borrow back. Where/when did Uncle Sam issue a P220?

That's the only one they didn't issue. Years ago some agency's allowed personal weapons so I bought and carried the Sig. I also kept and qualified with the issue weapon. I used it as a back up should the Sig go down. Then just before I retired they did away with allowing personal weapons and issued everyone a Glock. So my Sig became my off duty carry gun. She is still the most accurate out of the box, (read not tinkered with) auto pistol I have ever owned. Not much finish left on her but she still shoots great after thousand's of rounds.
